Women Need Gossip!

Research has shown, that women are happier and healthier if they enjoy a regular chat with their girlfriends every once in a while. This is because if a women talks to another women her level of progesterone increases. This hormone helps to reduce the feelings of anxiety and stress. It also plays an important role in social bonding and it is one of the main reasons why women are more willing to help others even if this might mean that might have the risk their life during the process.

I find it very important that there are people out their who are linkin biological mechanisms and social behavior. It is important to know why some people are happier, healthier and live longer in general. I think it is very interesting to about hormones and the influence they have on people. The thing I did miss in this article was the fact that they did not give any insight on the influence gossip has on the behavior of men.

Influenced by Physical Touch

Researchers have found out that people get influenced by the physical touch of their surroundings. The ability to touch is one of the most important one things we have, when it comes to exploring the world. One of the first things a little child learns are concepts such as warmth, roughness and hardness.This study shows us how important it is to understand those factors, because it helps us to understand the society as we become older. You can notice this, because you can see it our language. Just take a look at expressions such as that person has a warm smile or a heart as cold as ice.

This is a very interesting topic, because everyone has to deal with their surroundings. On the other hand I think it is quite obvious that you get influenced by this factor, so it might aswell be a bit of unnessercary information. However, I liked the information the topic gave but I do not think it is possible to have an opinion about it. Mainly because it are all facts and you cannot argue with facts.

Soldiers in Afghanistan Pay a High Prince

Four British soldiers have paid a huge price for being in Afghanistan, all of them died in an accident. Their amored vihicle rolled off a road and ended up under water. People are still investigating the case but there was probably no enemy involved in the action. This accident brings the death toll to 307 people of the UK service personnel who have died in Afghanistan. Now the question remains why are the soldiers still in Afghanistan? The truth is that they are still present because the Afghans are still nog ready to keep their own country save and to keep terrorist out of their country.

I think the big war in Afghanistan was on big mistake to begin with, if you start a war or get involved in one you know people are going to die. Too bad that these four men died in an accident but these things simply occur every now and then. It might as well happen in Britian and it that case no one would have made a big deal out of it.

Even Though I Am Free, I Am Not

Having the right to your own opinion is one of the most important rights a person should have. Living in the Netherlands this right is considered as being normal. However in countries such as Burma it is not. U Win Tin is the living example, he is a former political prisoner and a member of the NLD (National League for Democracy). Although he has already spend 19 years in prison and is still in the danger of being re-arrested, U Win Tin is still promoting democracy and human rights.

In my opinion U Win Tin is a hero. He is constantly fighting for things he considers as being the right thing to do. The fact that human rights are being broken is a shame to all of us and it shoudl be stopped as soon as possible. Luckily we still have people like U Win Tin to fight for it, sadly enough this does mean that he is putting his life at stake.

The Things We Do for Charity

Our victim Joe and ten of his mates, decided to do something for charity. They wanted to raise money for the local hospital and had agreeds to do the girls only therapy. In other words they agreed to get waxed. The majority of the men only got their chest waxed, however there was one brave man present.. Joe our victim agreed to get his balls waxed. Sadly enough this went wrong and Joe almost lost a testicle because of it. Luckily Joe is doing fine and his balls are healing. And more important Joe and his friends raised 3000 pounds for the children's hospital.

I think Joe is very brave and at least he had the guts to try something new. Although I am pretty sure he will not try this again. I like the fact that they raised a lot of money for the hospital and the story gave me a laugh. I hope Joe and his balls will be better soon, so they can continu raising money for charity.

Dirty Lunatics

Robert Thompas and Venables are accussed of storing indecent pictures and video's of children, This is not the first time this duo has shown inappropriate behaviour with a child. At the age of ten these two have killed a two-year-old toddler. Due to this crime, they both got life sentence, but since both were ten years old while the committed the crime they got released after ten years. Partly because they had shown good behaviour in prison.

People like this are the main reason why I am for the death penal. Although I believe the should not get it because of the porn, but because of the murder on the toddler. Just imagine, if a child of ten is capable of commiting a murder.. what would he be capable of when he is a grown up? And since when is life sentence ten years, I do not want people like that walking around in my country free. Just keep them in prison where they belong!

Are Our Children the Victims of the Harsh Society?

Apparently children are more at risk when it comes to personal crimes, such as robbery, assault and theft. As a matter of fact 25% of the children has been the victim of crime in the year 2009. These children are aged between 10 and 15 years old. In the year 2009, 2.153.000 crimes of theft and violence took place, the people involved were all children under the age of 16. This is a serious matter, but nonetheless we should keep in mind that the figures may be wrong. It is very likely that the figures overstate the level of crime among children, since many incidents probably will not be classified as a crime by most people.

I think it is a very bad development that children are being bothered that much. They should be able to get a nice childhood without crime, sadly enough this is apparently not possible due to society. I think that the main problem is that people are too used at being exposed to crime and agression. This is partly because of television, but also because the things people see on the street. People should know better than to behave agressive.. but we do not act that way.

Camera's in Muslim Areas

In Birmingham there was a project to spy on two Muslim areas. By using more than 200 camera's to watch every movement. It is said that the camera's were suppossed to reduce crime. However the people in these neighbourhoods did not agree and this is why bags are being placed over the camera's to reassure the entire neighbourhood can live with some privacy.

Recording everything will not stop the crimes, because people will simply leave the place with the camera's and go somewhere else to commit the crime. Another reason why I am against the plan of putting camera's in these two Muslim ereas is the fact that I think that it will offend the people living in it. Most of them will get the idea that they are seen as criminals, when most of them probably are not.

Let's Have Make Up Sex!

A 24-year-old porn star from Tokyo, has decided to respect history, Rauncy Anri Suzuki feels bad about all the things her countrymen did in the year 1936. As a matter of fact she feels so bad about it that she made the offer to have sex with the Chinese students in her homeland. The Japanese is aware of the fact that she cannot undo what happened, but she does think it is possible to compensate. As she said herself: "I want to cure teh wounds of China with my body, and I offer to do this by having sex with Chinese students in Japan."

I think that this woman Rauncy Anri Suzuki has some serious problems. First of all she feels reponsible for things which do not matter. She is not responsible for the things other people in her country did a lot of years ago, there for I do not think she should apologize. Futhermore I do not think she needs an excuse to have sex and if she does want to have an excuse please think of better one!

If the Fish Is Willing to Bite You'd Better Watch Out

Piranha's usually do not live in the United Kingdom, exept when you are talking about the few that live in an aquarium. However there are some exceptions, a man named Angler Derek Plum had the honor of catching a piranha while fishing at a pond in Kent. The piranha the man had caught was a red-bellied piranha, a specie which is mainly found in the Amazon river in South America. The piranha was probably a former domenistic pet that had become too large for his tank, the owners probably dumped the piranha in the pond to get rid of it.

First of all I do not think the owners of the piranha were the smartest people in the world, they bought a piranha but they cannot think of a proper way to get rid of it. So they dumped it in a pond, without thinking of the possible consequences. For a example someone could have fallen in the pond and the piranha could have attacked it with its sharp teeth. Second of all I think it is very mean toward the fish, because if it would have been in the water for much longer it probably would have died because it are not very good circumstances for a piranha too live in. A piranha needs to be in a warm aquarium or in the Amazone river not in a pond in Kent.

Heartless Bag Snatcher Mugs Pregnant Woman

An 18-year-old woman is mugged by a bag snatcher. The man had pushed the woman of the starits by grabbing her around the throat and upper body befor pulling her down six or seven steps and onto the floor. When the mugger was done with this he simply ripped her handbag away and took off. The handbag contained the following: some jewelry, a mobile phone and five pounds of change. Although the woman does not have severe injuries, she is very shocked. The police is trying to catch the person who did this.

In the articel the behavoir of the man is described as "despicable", but I do not think that this covers the feeling of digust I feel toward this mugger. Like mugging is not worse enough as it is, this perosn literally pushed a pregnant (!) woman of the stairs in order to get her bag. Not caring about what might happen with the unborn child, I think this is unforgivable.

It was a very strange thing that the party members never had a real public debate. Considering the fact that the public are the people who are actually the voters. I suposse it was a good thing that it happened. I thought it was funny that the politicians started out talking to each with their first name as if they were friends and ended being polite because they were mad. I wonder who is going to win the elections.

Debate (assignment)

For the first time there has been a debate between the leaders of the main parties in England. Several issues popped up during this debate. All of the Party leaders started the debate with talking to each other using the first name, but as the debate started to get a bit more tensed they started to use the full name of their components. Nick Clegg tried to make himself look as being an outsider, telling everyone the other parties failed when it came to solve problems such as crime and immigration. People apparently liked Nick Clegg most, since 61% voted that he had won the debate.

The Big Cover-up of Sexual Abuse in the Church

Eight victims of sexual abuse have been to Pope today. All victims were systemically abused at a orphanage in Malta and wanted the church to stop covering these things up. The Pope listened to descriptions of the victims and was deeply moved by them. The Pope did not apologized since it was not the fault of just one person. The victems prayed and cried, happy to be finally part of the church again which they had not been for years since their sufferings were denied.Today was different, because the Vatican finally admitted that they were sexually abused by members of the clergy.

It is not very nice to deny that things did not happen for several years, especially when we are talking about sexual abuse. I am glad that this encounter with the Pope, helps the victims to let go and be part of the church again. Not that I am such a big fan of the church, but if they find it important they should definitely go there. I agree to the fact that the Pope did not apologized since he is not responsible for the deeds of others.

Sending the Wrong Message

Several people want Gordon Brown, to apologize to the people who received a leaflet. In this leaflet stood that the following things would be scrapped by the Tories: the right for cancer patients to be treated within 18 weeks, the guarantee to see a cancer specialist within two weeks would also be history. A lot people who had received this card, used to be cancer patients. It was not a coincidence that these people were chosen, the political party Labour used the database of a company Experian. Because it used the data base of this company it could easily find hospital statistics, including postcodes and the diagnosis of patients.

Tact obviously is not the strongest point when it comes to the British government. Most people are pretty attached when it comes to their privacy and I think it is a shame to abuse this. Especially when it comes to things such as diseases. It is unacceptable to use statistics of where cancer patients live, to send them a leaflet with the message the other government will change the policy when it comes to cancer and it will not be in your advantage. Pretty sick minded if you ask me, like those people have not suffered enough.
